He completed his higher education at the Latvian Technical University in 2002, and in 2005 – a master’s degree in “Hunting and Fishing”. In 2006 he joined LTU as an assistant professor.
Main areas of scientific interests:
– Biology and ecology of game;
– Game management and use;
– Restoration of extinct animal species;
– Biomonitoring of faunal diversity (birds).
