She completed her higher education in 1982 at the Higher Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (now the Technical University of Sofia), specializing in Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
She defended her doctoral dissertation in 1995. In 1997, she joined the University of Forestry as an Assistant Lecturer, and since 2009, she has held the position of Associate Professor.
