Katya Georgieva Trencheva – Assoc. Professor, PhD
She graduated the Sofia University, in 2000. She started to work in University of Forestry as Assistant Professor in 2001. In 2013 she defended a PhD thesis “Bioecology of white peach scale Pseudaulacaspis pentagona (Hemiptera, Diaspididae) and chemical control”. Since 2007 – 2016 she is general assistant professor. Since 2011 she is Associate professor in Plant protection.
Major fields of scientific interests:
– Morphology and biology on Coccoidea (scale insects).
– Taxonomy and biology of representatives of the order Hemiptera
– Biology and ecology of alien and invasive insect species;
