Stanislava Draganova Kovacheva Veleva – Associate Professor, PhD
She completed her higher education in 1987 at the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy (UCTM) in Sofia, majoring in Plastics Technology. In 1996, she specialized in Corporate Management at New Bulgarian University (NBU), Sofia. The same year, she began working at the University of Forestry, and since 1999 she has served as a Chief Assistant at the Department of Resource Management and Nature Use, now known as the Department of Economics and Management of Resources and Nature Use.
She defended her doctoral dissertation in 1998 on the topic “Study of the Properties of Wood-Filled Polypropylene.”
Since 2007, she has held the academic position of Associate Professor in the scientific specialty “Organization and Management of Production,” teaching the subject Business Logistics in professional field 3.7 Administration and Management.
Since 2003, she has been a member of the Faculty Council of the Faculty of Business Management. From 2008 to 2011, she served as Scientific Secretary of the Faculty Scientific Council. She was Vice Dean of the faculty during two terms, 2008–2012 and 2016–2020. She is Chair of the Scientific Research Committee, the Academic Staff Evaluation Committee, and various other advisory committees within the faculty and the University of Forestry.
From 1999 to the present, she has delivered lectures, conducted seminars, and led practical sessions in the following subjects:

She is the author of over 140 scientific communications, articles, and conference papers, more than 20 books, manuals, dictionaries, and monographic publications, as well as over 15 teaching aids, including digital learning resources.
She actively participates in international program and scientific committees for forums in Bulgaria and abroad, and is involved in international scientific networks, editorial boards, and review teams of academic journals in the fields of economics, organization, and sustainable resource management.
She is a lecturer in seminars and training courses on:
Practical application and current issues of quality management systems (QMS), certification, accreditation, and market surveillance
Logistic management of production and economic activities within enterprises
Management of SMEs in the furniture sector and the wood-based panel (WBP) industry
and other related topics.
She is a member of the Union of Quality Specialists in Bulgaria, the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria, and the Association of Lecturers in Economics and Management in Industry..
