Boriana Stoynova Petrova, Chief Assist. Prof. PhD

In 2008, she completed her secondary education at 30th Secondary School “Bratya Miladinovi.”
In 2012, she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Design (Interior and Furniture Design), and in 2013, a Master’s degree in Engineering Design with a specialization in Product Design (Interior and Furniture Design profile).
In February 2022, she began working as a full-time Assistant Lecturer in the discipline Furniture Construction at the Department of Interior and Furniture Design, Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture (FGLA), University of Forestry.

She conducts classes in the following subjects:
– Furniture Construction – Engineering Design, Bachelor’s degree program
– Public Space Furniture Design – Engineering Design, Bachelor’s degree program

Main areas of scientific interest:
– Furniture construction using thin structural materials
– Development of new structural joints and components
– Optimization of furniture structures
– Applications of 3D printing technology for prototyping and manufacturing furniture components
– Study of strength and deformation characteristics of joints
– Study of physico-mechanical properties of wood and wood-based materials
– Research and development of new construction materials for furniture
– Design of lightweight furniture structures
