Konstantin Ivanov Marinov – Professor, PhD, Mechanical Engineer
He graduated Higher Institute of Forestry (now University of Forestry), specialty “Complex Mechanization in Forestry and Logging” in 1988. He started to work in University of Forestry in 1989 as Researcher, and then as Assistant Professor in Department “Mechanization in Forestry”. He defended a PhD thesis “Technological research on the mechanical dewinging of seeds of some coniferous species” in 2006. Since 2009 he is Associate Professor.

He has authored over 60 publications in the fields of forestry and crop production technologies and machinery, including scientific papers, a monograph, textbooks, and applied research works.
He has participated in one international and several national research and applied projects. He is a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and takes part in expert groups and committees at the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Bulgarian Institute for Standardization.

– Technologies and machines in Sylviculture activity;
– Technologies and machines for coniferous seeds processing;
– Technologies and machines for short rotation forestry establishment;
– Machines for producing wood pellets and briquettes.
