Svetoslav Mladenov Anev – Associate Professor, PhD

He completed his higher education in 2005 at the University of Forestry, majoring in Forestry. In 2007, he became a PhD student in the Department of Dendrology.
In 2009, he joined the University of Forestry as an Assistant Lecturer, and in 2012 was promoted to Chief Assistant. At the beginning of 2012, he defended his PhD dissertation titled “Ecophysiological Studies on European Beech (Fagus sylvatica L.) in the Area of Western Stara Planina.”
Since 2018, he has held the academic position of Associate Professor, specializing in the discipline of Plant Physiology.

Main areas of scientific interest:
– Ecological plant physiology
– Ecophysiological modeling
– Stress physiology and adaptive responses
– Physiological foundations of silviculture
