Honorary Titles

The University of Forestry presents two honorary awards:

Doctor Honoris Causa

The title “Honorary Doctor” is awarded to distinguished figures of science and culture with a contribution to the development of the respective scientific field. The University of Forestry awards this honorary title to scientists who work in the following scientific fields at the University: forestry, forest industry, ecology, landscape architecture, agricultural sciences and veterinary medicine.

Professor Asen Biolchev was the first person awarded the honorary title “Doctor Honoris Causa”

The following scientists have been awarded the honorary title “Doctor Honoris Causa” so far:

The Honorary Badge of the University of Forestry is awarded to both individuals and organizations. The Honorary Badge is awarded to figures of science and practice who have achieved remarkable success in their work and whose activity is related to the Forestry University. Students who have distinguished themselves by their achievements in academic and scientific activities are also awarded with the honorary sign of the Forestry University.
