Iliyan Manev Manev – Associate Professor, PhD
He graduated with honors in 2008 from the University of Forestry, Sofia, majoring in Veterinary Medicine. From 2008 to 2013, he worked as a veterinarian in a multidisciplinary small animal clinic, primarily responsible for internal medicine and cardiology.
In 2013, after winning a competitive selection, he joined the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Forestry, Department of Animal Science, as an Assistant Lecturer in the subjects of Pathophysiology and Immunology.
In 2017, he earned the educational and scientific degree PhD in the specialty Epizootiology, Infectious Diseases, and Prevention of Contagious Animal Diseases, defending a dissertation on:
“Studies on Certain Immune Factors and Immunoprophylaxis in Rabbit Myxomatosis.”
Since 2018, he has held the position of Chief Assistant Professor.

He conducts practical classes and delivers lectures in the following subjects:
– General Pathology (Pathophysiology)
– Immunology
– Biochemistry
