He completed his higher education in 1984 at the Higher Institute of Forestry and Wood Technology (VLTU), majoring in Forestry. In 1988, he began working at the University of Forestry as an Assistant Lecturer.
In 1995, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic: “Models for Volume and Assortment Estimation of Individual Trees and Whole Stands.”
Since 2008, he has held the academic position of Associate Professor.
He has authored over 30 publications in the fields of forest management, forest mensuration, GIS in forestry, and more. He has participated in over 40 scientific and research projects.

– Environmental assessment of forests in the EIA;
