He completed his higher education in 1986 at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” majoring in Biology with a specialization in Zoology.
In 1991, he defended his PhD dissertation on the topic: “Ornithocenological Studies of the Strandzha Mountain in Bulgaria.”
In 2002, he was appointed Associate Professor of Zoology at Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski,” and since 2005, he has been a lecturer at the University of Forestry.

– Biodiversity conservation
