Ivona Dimitrova, PhD, Assoc. Prof.
Assoc. Prof. Ivona Dimitrova graduated from the Trakia University – Stara Zagora, specialty “Animal Husbandry” in 1983. PhD thesis developed in field of molecular cytogenetics – „Structural and functional characteristics of the chromosomes of the pig (Sus scrofa domestica L.) in Allunion Research Institute of Animal Genetics and Breeding, Department of Molecular Cytogenetics, Leningrad (Sankt Petersburg), Pushkin, USSR – 1988. 1988-1999 she was Researcher in The Institute of Animal Science. In 1999 started work in the University of Forestry as an Assistant Professor. Since 2003 she has been Assocate Professor in Agronomy Faculty. In the period 2009-2015 she was Head of the Department of Genetics and Selection and since 2016 – Dean of Agronomy Faculty.
