Vera Zamfirova Petrova – Associate Professor, PhD
She graduated in 2005 in University of Forestry, specialty “Plant Protection”. PhD thesis on “Evaluation of ameliorative effect on water and heat regime of soybean and wheat” in 2010. From 2011 she was appointed as Assistant Professor in Department of Soil Physics to ISSAPP “N. Poushkarov” and since 2015 as Associate Professor. In 2016 started work at University of Forestry as an Associate Professor.
Leads lectures on the following courses:
• Irrigation and Drainage
• Irrigation techniques in the cultivation of vineyards, orchards and vegetable crops;
• Adaptive agriculture
Leads seminars on the following courses:
• Irrigation and Drainage
• Soil erosion – monitoring and prevention
Major fields of scientific interests:
• Soil – physical properties;
• Water balance of the soil.
• Physiological and physical indicators of water and heat plants stress;
• Irrigation with wastewater;
• Use of sludge and organic waste in agriculture and production of bio gas;
• Melioration practise.
