Marko Todorov Mihaylov – Chief Assistant Professor, PhD

University education graduated in 2016 in the University of Forestry, specialty “Plant protection”. In the same year he joined the UF as an assistant at the Department of “Perenial crops and horticulture”. He is currently Assistant of Viticulture in Faculty of Agronomy. In 2020 he defended a PhD thesis “Influence of different rootstocks on the grafting and development on Mavrud variety in nursery”. From 2021 is Chief Assistant at the Department of Agronomy, in „Faculty of Agronomy“ at the University of Forestry.

Leads lectures and seminars on the following courses:
• Viticulture – Bachelor’s degree, specialties Agronomy and Plant protection;
• Winemaking – Bachelor’s degree, specialty Agronomy;
• Ampelography and pomology – Master’s degree, specialty “Fruit growing”
• Technologies in viticulture – Master’s degree, specialty “Fruit growing”.

Major fields of scientific interests:
• Technologies for the creation and cultivation vineyards;
• Technologies for production of vine planting material;
• Viticulture pruning.
