Rumen Ignatov Tomov – Professor, PhD

He graduated the University of Sofia “St Kliment Ohridski” Faculty of biology, Department of zoology, majoring “Zoology – enyomology” in 1992. In 1998 he defended a PhD thesis “Dissertation title” at the Plant Protection Institute- Kostinbrod. He started to work in University of Forestry as Assistant Professor in 1999. Since 2002 he is Associate Professor and since 2011 he is Professor in Plant protection.

Leads lectures on the following courses:

Agricultural entomology;
Basics of biological control;
Integrated pest management;
Phytosanitary control;
Environmentally friendly pest management.
Major fields of scientific interests:

Entomology;
Quarantine and invasive species;
Pest management;
Environmental and Pest Risk Analysis.
