Pavlin Vitchev, PhD<\/p><p><strong>Services provided by the laboratory:<\/strong><br \/>The main task of the training and demonstration center is to support the practical training of students from the Faculty of Forestry, studying in the three specialties of the faculty:<\/p><ul><li>Technology of wood and furniture;<\/li><li>Engineering design (Interior and furniture design);<\/li><li>Computer technologies in the furniture industry.<\/li><\/ul><p>The purpose of the new training and demonstration center is to give students the opportunity to get acquainted first hand with the latest developments in the field of machines, tools and technologies in the installation of the latest generation of furniture fittings. At the disposal of the students in the training and demonstration center is specialized software, CNC drilling machine, templates for installation of furniture fittings, various study samples, presentation and information materials in Bulgarian, giving information about the products offered by the company.<\/p><p>The laboratory was established jointly between the University of Forestry and Overview<\/strong><br \/>The clinical laboratory was established in 2000, after transferring of some of the departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine&#8217;s Student Town. In 2006, a project of the Ministry of Education and Science is completely reequipment with new, modern apparatuses and currently meet all the demanding needs of a modern laboratory. This laboratory is in the Department of Internal diseases and Pharmacology and is an important link in the overall clinical diagnostic process of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of Forestry. The purpose of the lab is to perform a wide range of paraclinical tests in the development of research topics and research projects of graduate students, professors from universities and other research units. The other main feature is a diagnostic and laboratory studies.<\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0px !important;\"><strong>II. Working team<\/strong><br \/>In laboratory work a one associate professor, one chief assistant and a laboratory assistant. In developing research projects that involve students they become part of the working team. Students on duty at the Department of Internal Medicine IV and V &#8211; course also participate in the laboratory upon receipt of patients with a need to undertake certain clinical examinations.<\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 10px 0px !important;\"><strong>III. Scientific and laboratory diagnostic range<br \/><\/strong><\/p><ol style=\"padding: 0px; margin: 0px 0px 10px 25px; color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px;\"><li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The laboratory performed hematology analysis with a high reliability of:<br \/>Haemoglobin, Hct, ESR, total number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets, MCH, MCHC, MCV, RDW, MPV, PCT, PDW, Differential blood count, morphology of erythrocytes.<\/li><li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Biochemical analyzes in blood serum and plasma:<br \/>Glucose, total protein, albumin, bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, triglycerides, uric acid, electrolytes (Na, K, Cl), macroelements (Ca, P, Mg), enzymes (AF, ALAT, ASAT, KK, LDH, GGT, lipase, \u03ac-amylase).<\/li><li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Urinalysis<\/li><li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Research of puncture fluids<\/li><\/ol><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0px !important;\"><strong>IV. Diagnostic activities<\/strong><br \/>The laboratory is the only place in Sofia, where can a high professional level to perform, interpret and to provide competent clinical evaluation of diagnostic tests. The analytical range of the laboratory covers most necessary for diagnosis analysis. There are opportunities to explore new indicators.<\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0px !important;\"><strong>V. Amount of activity<\/strong><br \/>From patients to citizens, studies with students from V course and research projects of faculty each year enter a few hundred patients. On each made from 3 to 10, analysis of various indicators.<br \/><br \/><strong>VI. Equipment<\/strong><br \/>The laboratory is equipped with an automatic hematology analyzer, automatic biochemical analyzer, microscope with digital camera and video image of the observed objects in real time and all necessary supporting technical equipment for proper functioning of a modern clinical laboratory.<\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; text-align: justify; margin: 10px 0px !important;\"><strong>VII. Investigations are carried out on software support and optimization of CNC woodworking processes. Also studied are the operating modes of CNC machines, the operation of cutting tools, the quality of machined surfaces of wood products, wood based materials and etc. Noise and vibration generated by cutting of different materials are measured and analyzed.<\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 10px !important 0px !important 0.0001pt 0px !important;\"><b>Equipment available in the laboratory:<\/b><\/p><p style=\"color: #444444; font-family: 'Droid Sans', sans-serif; font-size: 14px; margin: 10px !important 0px !important 0.0001pt 0px !important;\">The laboratory has a CNC router for teaching and laboratory purposes; a CO 2 cutting and engraving laser with 40W power; specialized software for compiling NC programs. For teaching and research the laboratory also has at its disposal a ROVER A3.30 CNC wood machining center (Biesse, Italy). Overview<\/strong><br \/>Functional office was established in 2006 with funds from a project by the Ministry of Education and Science. Functional studyt as a structure is a component of the Department of Internal diseases and pharmacology. Represents an integral and important part of teaching and research clinical diagnostic process in the work of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of Forestry. The aim of functional study is to perform specialized clinical trials on patients to develop research topics and research projects of graduate students, professors from universities and other research units. Another major goal of functional surgery to improve the clinical training of students.<\/p><p><strong>II. Working team<br \/><\/strong>The work of the function room is secured by one assoc. professor and three chief assistants of discipline internal diseases. Students on duty at the Department of Internal Medicine IV and V course when necessary to carry out gastroscopy, ultrasonography and electrocardiography participate in preparing and carrying out the manipulations.<\/p><p><strong>III. Scientific and diagnostic range of functional office<br \/><\/strong><\/p><ol><li>Gastroscopy: performed a clinical study of various diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract by endoscopy of pharynx, esophagus, stomach, with the possibility of biopsy and histological examination of the material;<\/li><li>Ultrasonography of internal organs (liver, kidney, spleen, bladder, etc.).<\/li><li>Electrocardiography Heart.<\/li><\/ol><p><strong>IV. Diagnostic activities<\/strong><br \/>Functional study is the only place in Sofia, where based on the specialization of workers in human medicines clinics can a high professional level to perform these clinical examination to interpret and to provide competent clinical evaluation of established findings.<\/p><p><strong>V. The purpose of the new training and demonstration center is to give students the opportunity to get acquainted first hand with the latest developments in the field of machines, tools and technologies in the installation of the latest generation of furniture fittings. At the disposal of the students in the training and demonstration center is specialized software, CNC drilling machine, templates for installation of furniture fittings, various study samples, presentation and information materials in Bulgarian, giving information about the products offered by the company. The laboratory was established jointly between the University of Forestry and the companies Julius Blum GmbH, Austria and Interior I Ltd., Bulgaria. Clinical Laboratory I. OverviewThe clinical laboratory was established in 2000, after transferring of some of the departments of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine&#8217;s Student Town. In 2006, a project of the Ministry of Education and Science is completely reequipment with new, modern apparatuses and currently meet all the demanding needs of a modern laboratory. This laboratory is in the Department of Internal diseases and Pharmacology and is an important link in the overall clinical diagnostic process of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of Forestry. The purpose of the lab is to perform a wide range of paraclinical tests in the development of research topics and research projects of graduate students, professors from universities and other research units. The other main feature is a diagnostic and laboratory studies. II. Working teamIn laboratory work a one associate professor, one chief assistant and a laboratory assistant. In developing research projects that involve students they become part of the working team. Students on duty at the Department of Internal Medicine IV and V &#8211; course also participate in the laboratory upon receipt of patients with a need to undertake certain clinical examinations. III. Scientific and laboratory diagnostic range The laboratory performed hematology analysis with a high reliability of:Haemoglobin, Hct, ESR, total number of erythrocytes, leukocytes, platelets, MCH, MCHC, MCV, RDW, MPV, PCT, PDW, Differential blood count, morphology of erythrocytes. Biochemical analyzes in blood serum and plasma:Glucose, total protein, albumin, bilirubin, urea, creatinine, cholesterol, triglycerides, uric acid, electrolytes (Na, K, Cl), macroelements (Ca, P, Mg), enzymes (AF, ALAT, ASAT, KK, LDH, GGT, lipase, \u03ac-amylase). Diagnostic activitiesThe laboratory is the only place in Sofia, where can a high professional level to perform, interpret and to provide competent clinical evaluation of diagnostic tests. The analytical range of the laboratory covers most necessary for diagnosis analysis. There are opportunities to explore new indicators. V. Amount of activityFrom patients to citizens, studies with students from V course and research projects of faculty each year enter a few hundred patients. Investigations are carried out on software support and optimization of CNC woodworking processes. Also studied are the operating modes of CNC machines, the operation of cutting tools, the quality of machined surfaces of wood products, wood based materials and etc. Noise and vibration generated by cutting of different materials are measured and analyzed. Equipment available in the laboratory: The laboratory has a CNC router for teaching and laboratory purposes; a CO 2 cutting and engraving laser with 40W power; specialized software for compiling NC programs. For teaching and research the laboratory also has at its disposal a ROVER A3.30 CNC wood machining center (Biesse, Italy).
